   Reverend Jeffrey W. Jones, a New Jersey native, is the son of the late Rev. Beverly Jones, the devoted husband of his lovely wife, Sheila Diggs Jones, whom he resides with  in Hampton, VA.

      Reverend Jones graduated from Norfolk State University in 1981 with a BS in Mass Communications, where he developed his communication skills and comfort in front of and behind the microphone, stage, and camera.   In 1991, he earned a Graduate Banking Certificate from the Virginia VBA School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.  In 2008, Reverend Jones earned a Masters in Divinity from Virginia Union University.  He states that the “Masters Degree in Divinity is not only a theological degree, but it covers “all things church” such as church growth, administration, finance, outreach, growing ministries, and pastoral care.” Reverend Jones is a Certified Church Growth Consultant through the Society of Church Consulting.  

      Professionally, Reverend Jones has served in various positions in banking since 1982 and recently retired as Senior Vice President and Financial Center Academy Manager at the Bank of America. He was also part of the talent acquisition, development, and deployment continuum at Bank of America and managed the talent development for the Virginia Region.

      A member of World Victory Church and Life Center since November 1986,  Reverend Jones was ordained a deacon in October 1987 and has served in various other capacities over the years, including teaching a Life Application Bible Study Class since 1993, serving as Senior Deacon, a Praise Leader, and Director of Christian Education.  In 1991, Reverend Jones headed OPERATION 1,000, an outreach ministry, which focused on attendance and increase of membership.  He is a member of the WVCLC Adult Choir, the Men’s “Seventy”, the Constitution Committee, and the “WVC Players & Company.  Reverend Jones has a passion for bringing Biblical Wisdom and Marketplace excellence together.  He is a firm believer that God wants us to have life and have it abundantly, and loves being a part of this growing organism called the church.

      Reverend Jones officially became the Senior Pastor of World Victory Church and Life Center on September 1, 2021, and we pray God’s continual blessings over him as he serves the congregation in Spirit and in Truth. 

 Reverend  Craig L. Burgess is the son of Mr. and Mrs. King R. Burgess, the second oldest of three siblings: Cynthia, Anissa, and Chenoa.

He is a native of Lake City, South Carolina.

     A 1986 graduate of Lake City High School in Lake City, South Carolina, Reverend Burgess chose to serve his country by enlisting in the United States National Guard from 1986 until 1987.  He then continued his patriotism by serving in the United States Navy from 1987 until 1997.   Reverend Burgess married Susie McKenzie Burgess on March 11, 1991 and they are currently residing in Newport News, Virginia. They have three adult children.  

     From 1988 until 1992, God dealt with Reverend Burgess intensively.  He ran and ran until he could run no more.  On February 22, 1992, he submitted to The Father and accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior.  Over the years, his relationship with the Lord grew stronger and stronger.  That faith walk was further strengthened and his gift of ministry was manifested and greatly used, when he became licensed to preach during his time at Holy Tabernacle Church of Deliverance in 2004.  On May 30, 2010 he became fully ordained at World Victory Church and Life Center.  Despite the many lows he has experienced in his walk as a Believer, Revered Burgess still considers the journey nothing short of awesome. 

     In October of 2007, he opened the doors to Craig’s Barber Shop, in Newport News, Virginia.    He serves as Associate Minister at World Victory Church and Life Center, where he has been a member since January of 2009.  He has a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Saint Leo University, and a Masters degree of Divinity from the School of Theology, Virginia Union University. 

     Reverend Burgess’s life is a living testimony of what God can and wants to do, and where he can and wants to take us.  He considers himself to be no one special upon the earth; he believes strongly that if God can perform miracles in his life, God can perform miracles in your life.  He considers it an honor to be a child and servant of the True and Living God.

Father God, we come before you first, giving thanks to you for placing Rev. Jeff Jones and Rev. Craig Burgess at World Victory Church and Life Center as pastor and minister.  They answered a call that is by no means easy, but you knew their hearts and their path.  

We know of and witness daily their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and their love for the people of this church and beyond.  So we ask that you continue to give them the spirit of wisdom and understanding so they may know you better.  We pray that they will always have a passion to know you intimately, and to spread that passion to others as preachers, teachers, mentors, counselors, role models, servants, and friends of God!  Strengthen and protect them and their wives and families in their trials; fill them with joy and peace as they trust in you.  

Almighty God, equip them with everything good for doing your will, and bless them abundantly for the work they do in your name!

And Father, let us as members of this church, and people of God, always remember to keep them in our prayers, support them, love them, and pray for their unfailing strength in our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ!.  Amen.
